In 2002, Stora Enso made significant headway in implementing environmental management systems. The Group has nearly reached its goal of having its entire production capacity for paper, board and pulp covered by third-party-verified environmental management systems. The commitment has not gone unnoticed and has been mirrored in recognition from Dow Jones as the leading forest products company and commendation from the EU.
