 Wood is Stora Enso's most important raw material. Another vitally important source of raw material is recovered fibre. In order to guarantee that all wood and fibre is procured from sustainably managed sources, it is essential to ensure that the origin of all wood procured by the Group can be traced. The year 2002 saw the harmonisation of wood procurement principles across Europe. The core elements of the new principles remain the same, but greater emphasis is placed on social responsibility and communications.
