Procurement Site
Together with representatives from the Pääjärvi Harvesting Enterprise, Anne inspects the procurement site to make sure the forest has been managed according to the information on the procurement document. The numbers on the harvesting licence, on the origin of wood document, on the map, and in the corner pole of the stand have to match.
Stora Enso strives to preserve any valuable natural features in procurement areas, such as wetlands, other key-biotopes, rare species, valuable landscapes, and recreational amenities. Even where protection is not compulsory under local legislation, Stora Enso works together with local partners to find ways to promote nature conservation.
